Financial Peace University
Most people struggle to make ends meet. Financial Peace University is designed to teach you a step-by-step process to get out of debt and stay out of debt, make a monthly spending plan and set financial goals. You’ll stop struggling to make ends meet and change your family’s financial future. This 13-week video class, facilitated by Angi Renna, will meet on ACTION Night beginning Thursday, March 15 at 7 pm. The cost is $97 per person or married couple. Easter Children’s Choir
Sign ups for the Children’s choir are taking place this weekend and next weekend at the Information Center. When you sign up your child, you will receive a schedule of rehearsals, a packet of music and a CD. Rehearsals start Sunday, March 4 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm in Room 25 and continue every Sunday until Easter. For further information, contact Christina at cmancuso@believerschapel.org or 699-4140.
Building Faith That Lasts
Many teens fall away from the Lord after they graduate from High School. Doug Fields and Duffy Robbins, two of the top Christian communicators in the country, join together to give parents and youth workers practical tips on how to help teens build their own “Faith That Lasts.” The seminar is Saturday, May 5 from 9 am - 2 pm at Northside Baptist. We believe in the importance of this seminar so strongly, that we will pay half the registration fee for parents and youth workers to attend. The cost to you is $10 by March 5 or $20 after that. Vanguards (50+)
All seniors are invited to a Pot-Blessing lunch at the Chapel on Sunday, February 26 at 12:30 pm. Please bring your ideas of what you'd like to plan for 2012. We'll also watch a Christian movie and a share a short devotion with prayer. For more info, contact Bob at 380-5898 or Audrey at 699-1419.
Men's Practicing Greatness
Grow in God as you put into practice the disciplines of extraordinary leaders. Practicing Greatness will encourage your ministry and leadership development. Chapel Positions Available
Part-time Custodian: This is a paid position. This position will ensure that all areas of the Chapel are kept at acceptable cleanliness standards so as to make Believers’ Chapel everything that it can be. Also assist with preparation for special events. A minimum of one year light janitorial experience is desired. For a complete job description and to fill out an application, click HERE.
LIFE Group Director: This is a volunteer ministry position. The LIFE Group Director oversees the LIFE Group Ministry of the Chapel by providing administration, oversight and vision casting for Groups and Leaders in coordination with the Senior Pastor. This includes development and care, leadership and oversight, training, administration and LIFE Group promotion and outreach. Those interested must be a member of Believers’ Chapel and be or have been a LIFE Group Leader at the Chapel. For a Ministry Description & to submit a letter of interest, click HERE.
BCY Winter Retreat
BCY Winter Retreat (grades 7-12) is at Camp of the Woods in Speculator, NY. Cost is $155 and includes lodging, six meals, and most activities. Tubing, skiing and snowboarding are available at Oak Mountain for an additional charge. This is an amazing weekend filled with a spiritual encounter with God and a ton of fun. Food Pantry: The Food Pantry is available to anyone who is in need of groceries. Call in Food Pantry needs in advance (Colleen, 699-4140). Pick up is Wed. or Thurs. from 4 - 5:30 pm. Free Bread and Bagels are available in the lobby on Wed. and Thurs. From 4 - 5:30 pm.
Prayer Ministry
What a way to show care for others by lifting their needs before the Lord. Join us this week for these prayer opportunities: Monday Night Intercessory Prayer meets from 7 - 8:30 pm in room #20. PreService Prayer meets in the Worship Center from 5:15 - 5:45 pm on Saturdays and at 9:30 - 9:45 am on Sundays.
