Christina Mancuso,
Worship Director
The Chapel is looking to the future with thankfulness for all God is doing!
There is a long awaited change happening – and you will want to be part of it! The Chapel has been blessed with the addition of a new Worship Director. Christina Mancuso was welcomed the weekend of January 8 & 9. 2011 at a special "Celebration Weekend."
Senior Pastor Mel Hayes shares that, “This highly anticipated addition to our ministry staff is nothing we wanted to rush. We waited for God to bring the right person, and I am very confident that Christina is the person that God has given us. She is, hands down, the best person to fill this position.”
Christina’s warm nature and bright personality is only out-shown by her passion for the gifting that the Lord has given her. She comes to us with a heart that wants to not only lead others into the presence of God through praise and worship, but to help lead others to that place where God can speak to them clearly, uniquely, and in a life-changing way.
Christina is a graduate of Rhema Bible School with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry. While there, she ministered in music for Rhema’s Campmeeting, Kindle the Flame Conferences, and Winter Bible Seminars, as well as performing background vocals for Rhema Bible Church’s album, Higher. At this time, she also ministered at a number of churches and events, including: Abundant Life Family Church (Rev. Jim & Samantha Herring); Kalahari Resort Youth Conference (Rev. Joel Kitsemble); All Faith’s Crusade (Rev. Kenneth & Lynette Hagin); Women of Virtue Conference; and Gospel Tabernacle Youth Conference.
After graduating from Rhema, she accepted a position as the Music Minister at Erie Christian Fellowship in Erie, PA., where she served the Lord for two years. At this church of 500, she was responsible for worship ministry for all adult and Senior High youth services and conferences. She created an adult choir and led the band and vocal teams, co-wrote a children’s musical and raised and trained others in the area of leading worship and music.
Since returning to Syracuse to be with family, she has been attending Church of the Resurrection, and serving as the bi-monthly worship leader. She has also ministered with Women's Aglow as the worship leader for quarterly gatherings. If Christina looks familiar, it may be because she’s not a stranger to our church. She’s ministered here at BCY’s 2010 Breakout as a worship leader and once at the weekend services.
We’re blessed to have Christiana Mancuso with us and know that her experience, heart and passion for the things of God will lead this congregation beyond music, into an experience of connecting with God each time we enter worship before Him. That, above all else, is her heart’s desire.
Listen to Christina and the team leading worship.
